The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery provides maxillofacial surgical service for North-East Hungary, graduate and postgraduate education. Dental students get acquainted with the association between dentistry and oral -maxillofacial surgery, learn the maxillofacial surgical diseases fundamental for the proper and safe treatment in the dental practice. Patients suffering from oral cavity tumours, maxillofacial trauma, salivary glandular and many other pathological conditions are treated at the inpatient department.
Scientific activities are directed to surgical reconstruction of damaged oral cavity structures and implantology. The Student Scientific Society offers students the opportunity to participate in research projects.
